About

I am a 21 year-old singer and guitarist from Kings Heath in Birmingham. Although I spend a lot of time there, especially during university holidays, I live in Scotland throughout term-time, as I am now in my third year of studying Philosophy at the University of Edinburgh, where I am an active member of the folk society.

While I am a self-taught guitarist, I have completed the ABRSM vocal exams up to grade 8 and thoroughly enjoy singing all sorts of music, though my focus for performances is mainly on folk and traditional music.

I was fortunate enough to be selected as a semi-finalist for the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Awards 2016.

If you would like to hear some examples of the songs I perform, please visit my songs page or my videos page.

My debut album, On a Green Growing Tree, is now out. It is available as a digital download from bandcamp (where it also possible to listen to each track before purchase), or as a physical copy from ebay or at the Coda music shop on the Mound, Edinburgh.

If you would be interested in having me perform for your event please contact me at alice-dillon@outlook.com.
